If you have a pet at home, you know that animals communicate most often through their expressions, just like Pluto! ”Plutos Dinosaur Romp,” as seen in the DVD Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Around the Clubhouse World, is one of many cartoons featuring Pluto. Pluto’s short films were even nominated for Academy Awards.

Pluto the big, goofy dog, of Disney fame, is how old? You guessed right if you said 85 years old. Walt Disney Productions created Pluto the Pup as Mickey Mouse’s pet dog in 1930.

Pluto appeared again as a pup named Rover that belonged to Minnie. It wasn’t until his third film, “The Moose Hunt,” where he found his permanent place as Mickey’s trusty and faithful companion.

My grandparents used to buy me stuffed animals of him since I was a kid. The Disney Channel would play classic cartoons of his and they will always be my favorite! Pluto seems to try extremely hard to not get into trouble, but somehow trouble ends up finding him. Here are a few fun facts about Pluto, Disney’s beloved dog!
