Center Ring Dog Collar

At dogIDs, we take pride in using quality materials at our workshop to build each collar. Our waterproof collars are made in our Fargo, ND workshop out of a durable, weather-resistant soft grip strap and corrosion-proof stainless steel D-Rings. Due to the current metal shortage, all other hardware is nickel plated.

This center ring dog collar is also specially designed to help keep your dog safe. The built-in safety ring is made to be a second pivot point on the dog’s collar so that if he is snagged on a branch or in the brush, he can work himself free. This design is used often by hunters or outdoorsmen with their dogs to prevent dangerous choking situations when free-roaming.

If your dog is always on an adventure, our Waterproof Center Ring Dog Collar is a great option. The waterproof design is perfect for dogs that love to get wet and messy on a regular basis. Simply wipe your collar off when it’s dirty and put it back on your dog. You will love the fact that it never gets smelly!

The mechanism of a Center Ring Collar or a Safety Collar is pretty simple. The two-strap ends can move 90-degrees away from each other. The ring also offers a convenient pivot point that allows the collar to flip over and roll off your dog’s head. The greater flexibility and ability to roll means this collar is much easier for your dog to back out of if they get stuck on a fence wire or tree branch. That’s important if your dog is running around in the heavy brush.

Center ring collars are typically used for hunting dogs, and are also commonly seen on herding dogs. What does the center-ring do exactly? These are also called “safety collars“, and are supposed to allow the dog to escape if they get caught on something. Now, how do they actually, work? 23,785 Reviews

Depending on the situation, the center ring could help your dog slip out of the collar to avoid harm. The center ring gives the collar more flexibility to move than a standard collar. Some owners actually attach their leash clip directly to the center ring during walks to let their dog scope out the surroundings more easily.

A Center Ring Collar is used when you are concerned about an active dog getting his collar hung in a tree branch or fence. The center ring allows the collar to flex in a way that will allow the strapping material to roll over the dog’s head, preventing the dog from getting strangled
