Cesar Millan is also known as the Dog Whisperer. He founded the Dog Psychology Centre I in East Los Angeles and holds an innovative product line for dogs under the Cesar Millan brand. He is a known dog lover and focuses on rehabilitating severely aggressive dogs both privately and through his television show. Although he loves all dogs equally, he has a special connection to Pit Bulls. He owns two that he rehabilitated himself, Daddy (RIP) and Junior. Both Pit Bulls were trained to be involved in rehabilitating other dogs with Cesar. Millan became famous through his television series Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan. The TV series has been broadcast in eighty countries worldwide from 2004 to 2012. Over the years, Cesar has worked with a number of celebrities on his program, including Virginia Madsen and Jada Pinkett Smith.
Daddy (1994 ‒ February 19, 2010) was an American Pit Bull Terrier that worked directly with Cesar Millan as a trainer and also on his show, Dog Whisperer. Daddy is often considered the “world’s most famous pitbull“. Daddy became known for his calm temperament, tolerance for smaller dogs and capacity for empathy”. Daddy’s main role on the show was to rehabilitate dogs as well as serve as a role model for dogs associated with aggressiveness.
Junior was adopted by Cesar Millan as his former Pit Bull, Daddy, began to slow down. Junior was a protégé for Daddy and was trained to helped rehabilitate dogs on the Cesar’s show. He has excelled in working with senior dogs, although Cesar says he still needs to learn to be patient around unruly puppies. Junior acts as an ambassador for his breed, often associated with a violent stigma. When he’s not travelling or on stage, Junior can be found at Cesar’s side along with his family and his pack: Coco, Taco, and Alfie.
Along with rehabilitating aggressive dogs, Cesar has always been a huge advocate for the proper treatment of pets. With the rise of pet abandonments during COVID19, Cesar gave some advice said owners need to have more empathy and compassion. “Animals would never abandon humans. You do not hear stories of dogs abandoning humans because of disabilities or not having a job.”
How old was Cesar Millan’s dog junior when he passed away?
Cesar Millan vehemently denied accusations that his dog killed Queen Latifah’s pooch. The “Dog Whisperer” star’s rep told Page Six in a statement on Wednesday that the accusation that his pit bull Junior, who died this year at age 15, mauled the rapper’s pup to death was “a blatant lie.”
