YouTuber and makeup mogul Jeffree Star is a known dog lover, owning a grand total of six Pomeranian pooches, who recently became a topic of controversy after one pup fell ill.
Star’s four Pomeranians, Diva, Delicious, Drama and Da Vinci, have received two new siblings, with the YouTuber welcoming a duo of puppies earlier this month.
However, these most recent additions to his furry family aren’t the topic of current drama, as Star revealed that his eleven-year-old Diva has been dealing with tummy trouble in a Tweet on April 17.
“My eleven-year-old dog, Diva, is at the vet right now with swollen abdominal issues, so they are giving him medicine and an ultrasound and X-Rays,” he revealed. “He’s smiling and in really good spirits. I’m probably more nervous than he is.”
Despite his affirmations that Diva was being well taken care of by a veterinarian, one fan appeared to accuse the YouTuber of mistreating his pomeranians by feeding them low-quality food in a backhanded reply to his post.
“I love you Jeffree Star, but your dogs seem to have a lot of issues,” the critic replied. “What are you feeding your babies? Hope it’s not fast (processed) food! Honey! Hope all is well!”
Like any protective pet parent, Star clapped back at the critic’s insinuations, taking special care to note his dog’s age and the fact that Diva and his siblings are given only the best care under the roof of his “Pomeranian Palace.”
“Wow, I’m signing off the internet for today,” Star wrote. “Diva is ELEVEN and has had a perfect life. Just sharing him being sick when all the other dogs are fine is scary and worrisome. And I’m not acknowledging the food, they are treated like royalty.”
While Jeffree has since deleted his Tweet responding to the critic, fans have since come out en masse against the comment, similarly noting how well he treats his pups and that the breed tends to have health issues.
Diva’s recent stint at the vet follows the passing of Star’s late Pomeranian, Diamond, in 2019 — so it comes as little surprise that he’d be worried about another one of his furry friends, after taking such a difficult loss just over a year ago.
Moreover, he even named some of his lipsticks after them. He also launched another brand named Jeffree Star Pets, where his fur babies model for toys and accessories.
He had pets since he was young and got his first Pomeranian during his MySpace Era. Since he has been in the limelight, Star has had nine dogs.
Star is obsessed with his pets and travels around the world with them. All of his dogs names start with the letter D.
Star adores animals and has confessed that he loves them more than he loves people. Looking at his videos and Instagram, it is evident that he loves his fur babies a lot.
He currently has seven Pomeranians who live with him at his Wyoming ranch. Previously, they all lived in his $14 million Hidden Hills mansion.

Diva – Diva is Jeffree Star’s oldest Pomeranian. Diva is 11 years old as of April 2020. Diva is a tan Pomeranian. Truth be told, some would think Diva is a cross bread between a Pomeranian and a Papillon because he does not have the super fluffy face and coat. He is a full Pomeranian just like Drama, Delicious, Da Vinci, Dominatrix and Dessert. As Pomeranians age, they do not maintain their full coat nearly as well as the younger dogs.
Fun fact – Jeffree Star had Diva and Diamond before he met Nate.
Drama – Drama was born of October 31st, 2017. His Halloween baby. She is a tan Pomeranian like Diva. Drama also has the most “fluffy” and full coat of hair of all the Jeffree Star Pomeranians. Drama Lynn!
Delicious – Delicious is the only pure black Pomeranian in the Star family. As with most black Pomeranians, Delicious has some white on his chest, nose and feet. Pomeranian owners call this “wearing a suit”. He is very close to “pure black’ though. Expect to see more white come out on his snout as he ages. Delicious can be very emotional and will often get in fights with Da Vinci.

Da Vinci – Da Vinci is definitely the strongest personality of the Star dog family. Da Vinci “Vinci” was born in September 2018. He is also the Pomeranian that does a handstand when he is peeing on the grass. While some would claim Delicious is the most hyper, there is no Jeffree Star pom more hyper and energetic than Da Vinci. Yaaaaas Vinci!
Fun fact – Jeffree and Nate changed Da Vinci’s name because of his personality. After they got Da Vinci, the original name(s) didn’t fit.
Dominatrix – Dominatrix is one of the two newest additions to the Jeffree Star Pomeranians with Dessert. In April 2020, Jeffree Star brought Dominatrix and Dessert home. Dominatrix is the lighter brown with the dark (almost black) snout. This is called a wolf sable Pomeranian. It looks like Dominatrix will also have white back feet. Jeffree has also stated that Dominatrix looks exactly like Daddy did as a baby. He has already nicknamed her “Dommy” said like Mommy with a D. It makes sense since Dommy looks just like Daddy.
Note – As of April 2020, Nate and Jeffree Star are not together so these are the first two Pomeranians that do not have two daddies in quite some time.
Dessert – Dessert is one of the two newest additions (April 2020) to the Jeffree Star Pomeranians with Dominatrix. Dessert is the puppy that looks like a little bear. He is brown and fluffy. It looks as if he will grow up to be the only fully brown member of the Jeffree Star Pomeranian family. We will likely hear Jeffree Star call Dessert his “little bear”. Fun fact – Jeffree Star has already nicknamed Dessert “Zerty” or “Serty”.
