Got the Snuggle Puppy as a soothing companion for my 8 week old doodle puppy (shes now 12 weeks old). The heat pack that came with the Snuggle Puppy was fantastic! Warmed up the whole stuffed animal for a few days! Like other reviews have mentioned, these replacement heat packs arent as strong as the original heat pack, but Ive found that each one lasts for about 36 hours! I suggest placing the heat pack towards the back of the opening so that more of the heat will reach through the Snuggle Puppy, instead of just heating up the battery pack. If you get the Snuggle Puppy, definitely also get the replacement heat packs, especially if you love somewhere cold!
To activate, open the disposable pack and place it, along with the heart in the underside pocket by pulling open the hook and loop closure. If you do not need to use the heat pack for the entire 24 hours, simply put it in a sealable plastic bag, and squeeze the air out to stop the heating process. Throw away when finished.
I bought these to put inside my stuffed mama cat (the ones with the battery powered heartbeat) to keep my 4 week old rescue kitten warm. The stuffed animal came with a heating pack and it stayed warm for days. Started out hot actually and lasted 2-3 days gradually losing its heat. These packs last less than 24 hours. Maybe I was just spoiled with the ones that came with the stuffed animal so my expectations were too high. The package does say 24 hours so they’re not being misleading.
