Selena Gomez hopped on Instagram Live multiple times last night to give fans an update on how shes doing as she quarantines with friends and her grandparents in her California home. And during her longest, 17-minute Live video, she made a major announcement to her millions of Instagram followers: She has a new dog now, named Daisy.
“Winnie is here,” she started, referencing her other dog that she got last year, “and I would like to introduce my new family member Daisy! Winnie and Daisy are getting along very well. And I know a few friends who are fostering right now just to give animals a safe place. But I couldn’t help it. I have to keep her. Right? You all go play,” she told the dogs.
Daisy is the littler one. “I got Daisy a week ago,” Gomez said. “And she’s so sweet. And Winnie is like big brother mode for sure.”
Gomez stressed at the beginning of her Live that it is so important people stay home now. “I’ve been in lockdown,” she said. “I have not really left—well, I have left my house just to see my sister. I hope that you guys are taking this seriously. To me, I can’t wrap my head around people not taking lives that serious. It’s not to say it’s to be hurtful toward anyone else. It’s just, it’s really hard to see cause I have grandparents and they’re with me. I have a six-year-old sister who can’t be in school right now so I haven’t been on this too much just for the sake of praying for you guys and honestly figuring it out for myself, trying to read and not go crazy.” Gomez said later that her sister is staying with her parents.
Gomez later gave a little tour of her house and introduced her friends quarantining with her. She isnt recording any new music currently: “I was recording and then my label shut down and so I took a break.”
As for TV show recs? She has several: “I’m watching Tiger King on Netflix right now. Very interesting. I’m also watching Good Girls. What else? I watched The Hunt, which was a movie that was supposed to come out in theaters. That was good.”
Game-wise, shes been playing Pictionary and Code Names and recommends the book Blue Like Jazz. She ended her Live with a sweet note to fans: “We’re thinking of you, and we love you all, and I am praying for all of you.” You can watch it all below.
