Who is Dog Chapman dating?

How many wives has Dog the Bounty Hunter had?

“I saw the scripture that says, God does not want a man to be alone,” Chapman once shared in an interview. “That He knows we need a companion, whether were a man or a woman.” Chapman must have taken that verse seriously, because he’s been married five times. The first time was to La Fonda Sue Honeycutt, who he married when he was just 19. She filed for divorce upon his murder conviction. Next in line was Agness Tegnell, whom he married when he was 26 and out on parole after serving about 2 years in prison. They divorced but reunited briefly.

Chapman’s third wife was Lyssa Rae Brittain—whom he met in a bar mere days before they got hitched. In his autobiography, Chapman said he offered $1,000 to her if she’d have his child—she must have agreed, because they stayed married for nine years.

Chapman’s next wife was a former perp; he had tracked down Tawny Marie for drug possession charges, but hired her on as a secretary. They married when Chapman was 39 years old but separated two years later.

Beth Smith, his fifth wife, met him when she simply called Chapman for bail, she told Rosie O’Donnell in 2011 (she’d gotten picked up for shoplifting two lemons, which she denies she did). When she met him in person, she said she thought, “Oh yes, he will be mine.” They dated on and off for years until they married in 2006, and they stayed married until her death in 2019.

There was almost another wife—sort of. In January 2020, Dr. Oz shocked fans with a brief clip of Chapman tearfully asking a woman to marry him. The woman, Moon Angell, had been a close friend of Beth’s and had been spending time with Chapman, to the displeasure of some of his kids. On Oz’s show, Angell told Chapman that she only saw him as a friend. They both called it a fake proposal later. “Moon and I were not in a relationship and I tried to prove that and it really hurt Moons feelings, and shes the one that took the beating over it,” he said later.

Dog the Bounty Hunter Is MARRIED

DOG The Bounty Hunter has found love again with a new woman – and his family have given him their blessing, The Sun can reveal.

In these exclusive pictures Dog – real name Duane Chapman – smiles into the camera as he poses with his arm around new girlfriend Francie Frane, a 51-year-old rancher from Colorado.

Dog’s daughter Lyssa Chapman and close family friend Rainy Robinson told The Sun the reality star is head over heels for Francie – and say they couldn’t be happier for the new couple.

The couple have been dating for a few months and met after Dog called Francie’s husband Bob to do some yard work at his house in Colorado.

Sadly Francie had to break the news to Dog, 67, that Bob had died several months before Beth – Dog’s wife who passed away from cancer last June.

The pair began talking on the phone and became close – and are helping each other deal with the grief of losing their spouses, Lyssa said.

“Francie has been very respectful to all the kids – and to Beth’s memory – and my dad is the same way with Bob and their children.

“They go to church three times a week and dad is trying to give up smoking – she is a good woman for my dad.

“He’s the happiest I’ve seen him in a long time – he’s so in love and wants to spend the rest of his life with Francie.

“They are both lost their spouses to cancer so they know what i’s like to go through that and they are helping each other through it.

“But at the same time they are being very respectful of each other’s grieving process and they’re not trying to replace each other’s partner.

“Beth would approve – I honestly believe that Beth sent Francie for my dad – I feel like Beth and Bob are up there watching down over them.”

It comes after Dog fell out with his family over his last girlfriend Moon Angell, a friend of Beth’s who used to date Dog’s son.

Lyssa and sister Cecily spoke out publicly and privately over Dog’s relationship with Moon – and accused her of moving in too quickly on Dog while he was still grieving for Beth.

Moon and Dog split up several weeks ago and the family have since reunited and mended their relationship with Dog.

Bondswoman Rainy, who was Beth’s best friend and also starred on Dog’s Most Wanted, says she’s also 100 percent behind Dog’s new relationship.

“I saw Dog go through a lot of stuff for the last two years – it was very difficult,” she said.

“He walked Beth right to the edge of life and did everything he was supposed to do.

“Then we get into ‘Moon-gate’, which was a problem for all of us, mostly because my best friend gave us all warnings about her, saying ‘Don’t let her near my husband’.

“The kids lost their mother. And in many ways they felt like they lost her father.

“It was hard for me as a friend to see all that happening and there wasn’t a damn thing I could do about it.

“So when he told me about Francie and how their path’s crossed – I started looking into her and I thought ‘wow she’s not too bad at all’.

“Then I spoke to her and the first thing she said to me was ‘I will always treat these kids with respect and honor and I will always honor their mother’.

“Then she told me that she wants to help me with the scholarship program I set up as a memorial for Beth, which was really nice.

“I spoke to Dog and I have never heard him this happy, he was crying happy. Then I spoke to her and she was the same crying about how much she cares about him.

“I think she is somebody that Beth would have picked. I’m happy because he deserves to be loved and I want him to spend the remainder of his life happy.”

The news of Dog’s new relationship comes after he made his first trip to Hawaii since Beth’s death – and spent time with daughters Lyssa and Cecily as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who still live on the island.

Lyssa revealed her dad even thanked her for calling him out over his relationship with Moon.

“He was grieving when he was with Moon and he made mistakes – I didn’t want to hurt him by speaking out about it but I felt I had no choice,” she said.

“He accepts that and realizes now that I only wanted the best for him. This relationship is completely different – we are all behind it.”
